Originally from Chicago, Dr. Altkorn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. Prior to earning her DVM degree, she obtained a BS in biology at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, and taught English to middle school students in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Dr. Altkorn’s professional interests include neurology, preventative care, and evidence-based medicine. She has professional affiliations with WVMA and AVMA. She has undergone Fear Free training and is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian by the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
In her free time, Dr. Altkorn enjoys music, dance, and reading. She shares her home in Madison with her partner and their cat, Tiny Dancer.
